In a time when a vast majority of criminal defense attorneys just plead their clients out because they are too afraid to go to trial, Ashley Daniel is one of the few remaining trial lawyers out there who will go the extra mile and put on a jury trial if it is advantageous to his client. Mr. Daniel is fearless in the courtroom and with his extensive jury trial experience, he has a lot to offer his clients.
A Former Deputy District Attorney
With a foundational background as a former Deputy District Attorney for the Humboldt County DA’s Office, Mr. Daniel brings a prosecutor’s insight to every case he defends. This unique perspective allows Mr. Daniel to anticipate the prosecution’s strategies, identify weaknesses in their case, and craft a formidable defense from day one. He understands how charges are built and, more importantly, how they can be dismantled.
Mr. Daniel received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from U.C. Irvine, and then went on to acquire a J.D. from Chapman University – Fowler School of Law. While at Chapman, Mr. Daniel served as the Articles Editor for the Chapman Law Review and was the Vice President of ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) Board, as well as a member of the Trial Advocacy Team. Mr. Daniel won numerous awards for ADR and Trial Advocacy while at Chapman. Each of these experiences helped him fine-tune his skills in and out of the courtroom.
